What is Tallow?

Tallow: The Perfect Ingredient

WHAT IS TALLOW AND ITS BENEFITS?

Tallow is rendered beef fat that comes from cows that is incredibly nutritional. We only use 100% grass-fed grass-finished rendered tallow from cows with ethical and sustainable farming practices that are completely free of antibiotics, hormone injections and pesticide exposure. Tallow naturally contains fat soluble vitamins A, D, E, K, and B12 that are all essential for good skin health as well as minerals. These vitamins help promote skin rejuvenation by fighting free radicals known to cause wrinkles and provide deep nourishment. These natural vitamins that are necessary for skin health also contain conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) which has anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory properties, palmitoleic acid (Omega 7), palmitic acid alpha linoleic (Omega 3), linoleic acid (Omega 6), oleic acid (Omega 9) and stearic acid. Compatible with our own skin biology sharing many of the same lipids, tallow is incredibly similar to sebum (the fatty lubricant matter secreted by sebaceous glands of the skin) making it absorb into skin with ease giving skin the nourishment it craves while making skin feel soft and supple. Because tallow is able to penetrate the skin so easily, it is able to prevent dryness on a cellular level while not clogging pores. Tallow is such a versatile skin care product it can replace all moisturizers and body lotions and can be applied over the entire body and face. Tallow has been used for thousands of years due to it's healing properties and skin-friendly nature.
